Soluna
As part of a school project, I developed a project brief and developed a factitious company without any limitations. I chose to create a luxury cruiseline called Soluna. Soluna is a new adults-only cruise line that focuses on the vacation experience—into the day and night. We offer a variety of activities both on ship and offshore that cater to all interests. This cruiseline offers the Soluna Experience: “en el sol y la luna”, a taste of revitalization that will leave you refreshed upon your return home.
The Task
Soluna is a new adults-only cruise line that focuses on the vacation experience- into the day and night. We offer a variety of activities both on ship and offshore that cater to all interests. This cruiseline offers the Soluna Experience: “en el sol y la luna”, a taste of revitalization that will leave you refreshed upon your return home. We want our brand to look sophisticated, welcoming, and sleek. We would like the logo to incorporate some sort of graphic involving the sun/moon along with the business name. We are open to a variety of colors, and are willing to compromise if presented with strong options.
Color
I aimed to create a sleek, refined color palette that emphasized sophistication and alluded to oceanic life. The color palette I developed includes a dark blue, light blue, and nude to create contrast, as well as a golden gradient that adds a touch of elegance.
Type
Times Regular is a title typeface, utilized for the primary logo. This typeface is sophisticated and timeless, highlighting the luxurious ambiance of Soluna. Helvetica Neue Medium is a sans serif typeface that is readable in large bodies of text and can stand alone as subtitles. It is eye-catching and modern, perfect for advertisements, email newsletters, and app design.
Moodboards
I created moodboards to develop the ambiance of Soluna on and offshore. Additionally, through the use of moodboards, I found inspiration for type, color and logo design.
